A recognition for promoting social changes that build a better world

RECON Director, Andrés Santamaría Garrido, recognized as one of the five iconic leaders of Latin America that build a better world

The award was given for promoting and promoting Social Entrepreneurship in Colombia with a vision of sustainable development and for his career as a Human Rights Defender, especially for making visible and protecting the rights of women to guarantee a life free of violence . Actions that contribute to the construction of a better world.

In total, the WEF 2019 awarded 30 women, 5 men and 15 companies that, from their work, promote and promote actions that build a better world. Among the recognized are the organization Tierra Grata and Camila Cooper, social entrepreneurs who are part of the RECON network and who have been beneficiaries of training, visibility and support processes for their strengthening, in addition, having been finalists of the RECON Call 2017-1

The award ceremony was held at the Hilton Hotel in Cartagena in the framework of the First Women Economic Forum Latin America and was awarded by ALL Ladies League -ALL-, a multinational network of women entrepreneurs and leaders around the world, which encourage conversations , connections and collaborations for the empowerment of women and the Women Economic Forum –WEF-
