RECON, an organization that identifies, makes visible, supports and strengthens Social Entrepreneurship projects in Colombia that contribute to the economic, social and sustainable development of vulnerable communities, launched its IV National Call to identify Social Entrepreneurships throughout the country.
People who have a Social Entrepreneurship that creates opportunities, transforms realities and impacts the social and economic development of their community, are called to participate in this Call.
The conditions to participate are:
You must record a video of maximum 2 minutes in which you present your Social Entrepreneurship and answer the following questions:
What led you to create your Social Entrepreneurship?
What does your Social Entrepreneurship do for your community?
What do you dream of happening with your Social Entrepreneurship?
Social Entrepreneurships can be framed in six categories:
The Social Entrepreneurs who participate will be evaluated taking into account the following criteria:
There will be a first phase in which the RECON Team will select 10 Social Enterprises for each category (taking into account the evaluation criteria), for a total of 60.
Subsequently, the shortlisted ones will be published in an El Tiempo special in digital version and will go on to a public voting process, where Colombians can vote for their favorites. The three most voted Social Enterprises for each category will be finalists, that is, there will be a total of 18 finalists.
The finalists will be evaluated by a jury of qualification, composed of representatives of the organizations allied to the RECON 2019 Call, and it will be they who will define the seven winning Social Entrepreneurships, one per category.
The great Recognition Ceremony will be held in Medellín, on November 6 within the framework of the First Social Entrepreneurship Summit that will be held in Colombia, RECON will take the finalists to the Summit to participate and attend the ceremony. The winners will receive seed capital, a quota for a training and acceleration process with the Externado University, visibility on the RECON platform and permanent accompaniment. The RECON 2019 Call is made with the support of Sweden, El Tiempo, Ruta N Medellín, The Program of the United Nations for Development -PNUD-, Grupo Éxito, Postobón, Unilever, Royal Films and Impact Hub Medellín.
