Social entrepreneurship is setting a new generation of youth between 24 and 35 years old, who from the regions are getting to know social entrepreneurship with the aim of solving social problems in their local environments, via technology, defense of women’s rights, human rights, environment, entrepreneurship and generation of employment, amongst others.
RECON looks to sustainability of social entrepreneurship and makes it happen in several ways. One of these are the training processes with which we seek to strengthen models of business. For this, we have as allies Impact Hub Bogotá, investment fund Athensa, several universities and known consultants in social entrepreneurship. A large group of facilitators and professionals who contribute to sustainable development of projects of entrepreneurs.
We hold training sessions for the strengthening of businesses. These sessions have a duration of 4 days in which social entrepreneurs learn about digital tools, doing innovation and creativity exercises which allow for fast and efficient solutions, learning concepts and examples of sustainable businesses, triple bottom, models and access to sources of finance, social canvas model, mentorships with experts, amongst others.
Furthermore, entrepreneurs receive advice from professionals, who see to it that entrepreneurs do not have doubts regarding what was learnt and ask if they require help in solving doubts on issues that the professionals gave.
Another of the ways, via which we promote sustainability is the delivery of “seed capital” by contests we make.
Finally, through a process of social acceleration, we work bilaterally with diverse social initiatives, with which we seek to work between 2 and 3 months towards making them model businesses, supporting them with guidelines and strategies towards this aim.
