Description of Social Entrepreneurship

I already have where to write (YTDE) is a Foundation that carries out an environmental sustainability campaign that consists of making notebooks in an artisanal way with recycled sheets left over from the notebooks of children and young people and cereal boxes, which we use as covers. By putting together these notebooks, we want to raise awareness about the importance of education in the country and the care of the environment.

Additionally, we seek through leadership workshops, personal growth and other experiences provided, promote personal education, ecology and social service of young people. In this way, we are motivating our participants to undertake in a free, conscious, coherent and responsible manner for the decisions that each one makes.

Through the meaningful learning and experiences fostered by the team of executives of the foundation, we have the objective of each person identifying and highlighting their qualities and aptitudes; find what you are really passionate about and put it at the service of

the rest. In this way we emphasize that age is not a limit to do things and that on the contrary, the younger you start, it is much better. Encouraging volunteers to be voices of their school, their university or wherever they are, because a position is not needed to be a leader.

What led you to create your Social Entrepreneurship?

First of all, the supplies are very expensive and it is sad to know that there are many children who go to school, but they have nowhere to write or simply do not have the necessary tools to study. In addition to this, there is a sad paradox and it is that the notebooks are not normally used entirely by children throughout the country, so we came up with the idea of compensating the need of some with the surplus of others and creating this idea of recycled materials notebooks from cereal boxes and clean sheets of notebooks in good condition, thus giving an alternative to consumption and a message for the new generations of the importance of education and environmental care.

How does your Social Entrepreneurship impact your community?

“I have now where to write” rather than being considered a solution to different problems, it is considered an alternative for changing ecological and social consciousness. We believe that the transformation in the problems takes time, but with work and dedication the results become noticeable. For this reason, I Have Where to Write has an impact on the dreams and projections of vulnerable children and youth in Colombia.

Through the meaningful learning and experiences fostered by the team of executives of the foundation, we have the objective of each person identifying and highlighting their qualities and aptitudes, finding what they are really passionate about and putting it at the service of others. This will allow educating tomorrow’s leaders in a productive field who, due to their social and economic realities, have not been able to develop soft skills suitable for undertaking business and being leaders in their communities.

Additionally, YTDE has an ecological impact that is important to enunciate, because since the foundation we offer an environmental sustainability campaign that consists of making handmade notebooks with recycled sheets that are left over from the notebooks of children and youth in the school and cereal boxes By putting together these notebooks, we want to raise awareness about the importance of education in the country and the care of the environment.

What do you dream of happening with your Social Entrepreneurship?

In the future we want as a team to mobilize the youth of Colombia, so that they are put at the service of those who need it, thus changing the sense of being a volunteer, supporting from their professional area. Additionally, we seek to demonstrate to the new youth that age is not a limit to doing great things.

Additionally, we would like to form incubators of social and sustainable enterprises from YTDE, providing young people with limited resources mentoring, assistance and hopefully sponsorships and support in new and innovative projects.

The biggest dream of YTDE is to form a public school full of values and entrepreneurship workshops for young people with limited resources and that focuses much more on unconventional education, the education of the human being and the service of others.
