Description of Social Entrepreneurship
Intelligent river turbines provide remote communities with a source of energy and a means to prevent flooding.
New type of turbine capable of generating electricity without the need for greater civil infrastructure, and that is optimized to operate at low speeds and with low flow. Together with this turbine, solar panels are installed that complement the electrical production to supply energy to some local process that generates added value to the communities of Rivera.
Once the issue of power supply is resolved, monitors are installed in the turbine. Thanks to the use of two GPS sensors, these monitors are capable of measuring water level variations with an accuracy of centimeters and with the integration of an early alarm system, you can warn and take action if a flood is on its way.
